Central Alberta Dream Drive Rallies Community to Raise Over $600,000

October 16, 2026

Exotic cars, dream rides, and a live auction that ended with Brett Kissel offering up Christmas.

RED DEER, AB, October 16th, 2026: Central Alberta Dream Drive (CABDD) raised more than $600,000 at its September 12 event in Red Deer. The event is the signature fundraiser for the Westerner Foundation, with a portion of proceeds supporting Aspire Child Development Centre, this year’s charity of choice and community partner.

Seventy-five children and young adults rode co-pilot in their dream cars, through the city, while cheered on by the community. The day began with a free car show at Westerner Park featuring exotic cars and crowd favourites, plus live entertainment, a Kid’s Zone, and food vendors. From there, the show became the starting line for the rally.

A Gala to Remember

The evening’s Finish Line Gala brought sponsors, donors, and drivers together for dinner, a private concert by Brett Kissel, and a live auction that became a show of its own. The room was fully engaged, and the auction alone raised $238,000.

Among the most sought-after items was the private dinner and wine tasting donated by 53 On Ross and John and Heather Donald. Then Brett Kissel, CABDD’s Grand Marshal, closed the night by offering two private shows around Christmas, each for a room of 20 people.

The response from our community was incredible. Westerner Park exists to serve Central Alberta, and this event shows what that looks like when people show up for it. We are proud that it also allowed us to support Aspire Child Development Centre.

Thank You

CABDD thanks its sponsors, donors, volunteers, drivers, and the Central Alberta community for making this year’s event possible. Thank you as well to the City of Red Deer, the RCMP, the Westerner Foundation, and Aspire Child Development Centre for their partnership.

About the Westerner Foundation

The Westerner Foundation was established in January 2021 by local community leaders and members of the Westerner Park Board of Directors to promote, fundraise for, and invest in initiatives that support the future sustainability of Westerner Park. Funds raised support capital projects at Westerner Park, allowing it to keep providing programs, events, and experiences for Central Albertans, advancing the agriculture industry, and generating economic benefit for the community.
