Partnership & Sponsorship
We wouldn’t be where we are today without support from our partners in the community. If your organization is interested in getting involved with Westerner Park and would like to explore partnership options, please contact Erin Gobolos at 403.309.0207 or egobolos@westerner.ab.ca. For a list of current partners, click here.
Joining the Westerner Park community as a sponsor is a great way to maximize your organization's visibility and ensure your message is getting to the right people. Whether you choose to support a program (as an "official beer supplier," for example), purchase naming rights to our various facilities, or sponsor one or more of the high-profile events we host each year, you're guaranteed to make an impression.
We work with each of our sponsors directly to produce a customized package that is relevant to their business and marketing objectives and will connect them to their target audience in a meaningful way. Some information on sponsorship opportunities is provided below, as well as in our Westerner Park and Westerner Days Fair & Exposition Sponsorship Packages (listed at the bottom of the page) however, we encourage you to contact Erin Gobolos at 403.309.0207 or egobolos@westerner.ab.ca to see how Westerner Park can best be put to work for you.
Eligible Events
Westerner Days Fair & Exposition
Westerner Days Fair & Exposition is central Alberta’s largest summer celebration and a big part of what makes Westerner Park Alberta's "destination for celebration." From midway rides and free entertainment to nightly Pony Chuckwagon Races and agricultural and arts exhibits, this five-day event offers something for everyone.
Each year, the Westerner Days Fair & Exposition draws approximately 90,000 visitors from throughout Western Canada and generates over $7 million in gross economic impact, with significant visitor spending going to businesses throughout the Red Deer area. To learn more about the event, feel free to visit the website at www.westernerdays.ca. For information on sponsorship options, contact Erin Gobolos at 403.309.0207 or egobolos@westerner.ab.ca.
Northern Star Talent Search
Throughout the years, Westerner Park has prided itself on providing programs that benefit many different aspects of the community, and the arts are no exception. In 1983, Westerner Park recognized a need to develop an avenue where young local talent could advance and explore their careers in the entertainment industry. Thus the inception of our annual Talent Showcase.
Over the last 27 years, the show has grown by leaps and bounds. Starting with 25 participants in its inaugural year, by its fourth anniversary it had expanded to well over 60 contestants. In 1987, Westerner Park was invited to participate as a “Preliminary Show” for the Capital Ex’s Northern Star Talent Search, which it continues to do today. Winners from the Capital Ex Northern Star Talent Search then advance to the Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions (CAFE) Canadian Youth Talent Competition Finals, held annually. At least three former participants--Micheal Buble, Gord Bamford, and Paul Brandt--have gone on to successful careers in the entertainment industry.
For more information on how you can get involved in the next Northern Star Talent Search, please contact Erin Gobolos at 403.309.0207 or egobolos@westerner.ab.ca.
Westerner Championship Dairy Showcase
Western Canada's largest fall dairy show attracts exhibitors and cattle from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, with approximately 160 head registering for the show and another 60 for the central Alberta Holstein Club sale event. Highlights include educational tours and seminars, exhibitor booth displays, lunches, meetings, and the Mega Moola Jackpot.
